Write-up by Rehan Momin &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 There have been many research linking music and the arts to math and sciences. Back when I was in College we discussed a couple of of them in some of my music education classes. I discover the subject quite intriguing, and looking back I wish I would have followed it much more closely. I have been playing/studying music considering that I was 5 years old. According to all of these research, it ought to come as no surprise that math and sciences were my strongest subjects in school. Math in distinct comes quite simply to me. It…

Spatial Thinking and the National Science Standards

Post by Brixovng &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 The relationship of the science standards to the basic concepts of spatial thinking is by no implies as explicit as it is in the mathematics standards (NRC, 1996). A detailed reading of the science standards suggests that there is spatial thinking and spatial reasoning content, but neither phrase appears in the text, nor are the ideas addressed explicitly and systematically. The science standards are comparable in structure to those for mathematics. The 1 exception is that although the mathematics standards speak of “standards and principles,” the science standards broadly apply the concept of standards to each element of…

What Is Feng Shui – A Science or Belief?

Article by Joey Yap &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 &#13 More than the years, I have put forth the view that Classical Feng Shui is a scientific practice. Now, I have espoused that view of Feng Shui all more than the globe, when I teach Feng Shui, BaZi and Mian Xiang at seminars. So I was very pleasantly surprised to come across out that my comments had produced a buzzing debate over the question of what creature Feng Shui is – is it scientific practice? Pseudo-science? Or purely belief? Hence, I thought I would address this issue in more depth and explore the scientific side of Classical…
